A solid roof means you’re not lying awake during storms wondering if water’s getting in. You’re not calling around for emergency tarping at midnight. You’re not dealing with stained ceilings, ruined insulation, or mold creeping into your walls.
When your roof works the way it should, your heating bill drops because you’re not losing warm air through gaps. Your home value holds because buyers see a roof that’s been maintained, not patched together. You stop budgeting for the next repair because the work was done right the first time.
That’s what roof repair should give you. Not just a fix, but the confidence that your home is protected and you can move on with your life.
We’ve been handling roof repairs and full replacements in Derry and across Southern New Hampshire for over a decade. We’re an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we meet their standards for installation quality and customer service, not just ours.
We know what New Hampshire weather does to roofs. The ice dams that form after heavy snow. The shingles that lift during wind storms. The flashing around chimneys that fails after years of freeze-thaw cycles. We’ve seen it all, and we know how to fix it so it doesn’t come back next season.
You’ll work with the same crew from start to finish. No subcontractors. No surprises. Just straightforward work done by people who’ve been doing this long enough to know what matters.
First, we come out and inspect your roof. We’re looking at the damage you called about, but also checking for anything else that could become a problem soon. You get a clear explanation of what’s wrong and what needs to happen to fix it.
Then we give you a written estimate. No vague ranges or “depends on what we find” pricing. You know what the job costs before we start. If something unexpected comes up during the work, we talk to you before adding anything.
Once you approve, we schedule the repair and show up when we say we will. Most repairs take a day or less. We handle everything from removing damaged materials to installing new shingles, flashing, or underlayment. When we’re done, we clean up completely and walk you through what we did.
If it’s an emergency, like a tree through your roof or a major leak during a storm, we can get a tarp up fast to protect your home while we line up the full repair. Most emergency calls get a response within a few hours.

Roof repair isn’t just slapping some shingles on and calling it done. It’s identifying why the problem happened and fixing it so it doesn’t repeat.
That means replacing damaged or missing shingles, but also checking and repairing the underlayment if water got through. It means resealing or replacing flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights where leaks commonly start. It means inspecting and repairing soffit and fascia if they’ve been compromised by water damage.
In Derry, we also deal with a lot of ice dam damage. When ice builds up at your roof’s edge and forces water under your shingles, it can damage the decking underneath. We assess that damage, replace any rotted wood, improve ventilation if needed, and reinstall everything properly so it doesn’t happen again.
Storm damage is another common call. High winds can tear off shingles or damage flashing. Hail can crack or dent roofing materials. Fallen branches can puncture straight through. We handle all of it, and we can work with your insurance company if the damage is covered.
If the damage is localized to one area—a few missing shingles, a leak around a chimney, storm damage to a section—repair usually makes sense. You’re fixing the problem without replacing materials that are still in good shape.
If your roof is over 20 years old, has multiple leak points, or shows widespread wear like curling shingles, granule loss, or sagging, replacement is probably the better move. Repairing an old roof often means you’re just delaying the inevitable and spending money on a temporary fix.
We’ll tell you honestly which one makes sense for your situation. If a repair buys you another 5-10 years and you’re planning to sell soon, that might be the right call. If your roof is failing in multiple spots, we’re not going to patch it and pretend that solves the problem.
It depends on what’s damaged and how much of it. A simple shingle replacement might run a few hundred dollars. Fixing flashing, replacing underlayment, or repairing decking damaged by leaks will cost more because there’s more labor and materials involved.
For context, the average cost of roof work in New Hampshire runs between $525 and $750 per square for shingle systems, but repairs are typically much less because you’re not replacing the whole roof. Emergency repairs, especially ones that require tarping and temporary protection, may have additional costs depending on timing and urgency.
We give you a written estimate before any work starts, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. If we find additional damage once we open things up, we’ll talk to you before proceeding. No surprise bills.
Yes, but it depends on the temperature and conditions. Asphalt shingles need to be installed above a certain temperature so the adhesive seals properly. If it’s too cold, the shingles won’t bond and you’ll have problems down the road.
That said, emergency repairs can be done in winter. If you have a leak or storm damage, we can get a tarp up to protect your home and then schedule the permanent repair for when conditions are right. We’re not going to do substandard work just to get the job done faster.
If it’s a minor repair and the weather cooperates—temperatures above 40 degrees, dry conditions—we can often handle it even in colder months. We’ll assess your specific situation and let you know what’s possible and what’s smart.
Most repairs take a day or less. If it’s a straightforward shingle replacement or flashing repair, we’re often done in a few hours. Larger repairs that involve replacing underlayment or decking take longer, but we’re usually still talking about one full day of work.
Emergency tarping can happen the same day you call, often within a few hours. The permanent repair gets scheduled once we’ve assessed the full damage and you’ve approved the estimate.
Weather can delay things. We’re not going to work in heavy rain or high winds because it’s not safe and the materials won’t install properly. If conditions aren’t right, we’ll reschedule for the next available day that makes sense.
It depends on what caused the damage. Storm damage, hail, fallen trees, and sudden accidents are usually covered. Wear and tear, age-related deterioration, and damage from lack of maintenance typically aren’t.
If you’re filing a claim, document everything. Take photos of the damage before it’s repaired. Keep records of any emergency work you had done to prevent further damage, like tarping. Your insurance company will want to see all of it.
We can work with your insurance adjuster and provide documentation of the damage and repair costs. We’ve done this plenty of times and know what insurers need to process claims. Just know that the final decision on coverage is between you and your insurance company—we can’t guarantee what they’ll approve.
We stop and talk to you. If we pull up shingles and find that the underlayment is damaged or the decking is rotted, we’re not just going to keep going and hand you a bigger bill at the end.
You’ll get an explanation of what we found, why it needs to be addressed, and what it will cost to fix it properly. Then you decide whether to move forward with the additional work or handle it differently.
Most of the time, if there’s hidden damage, it makes sense to fix it while we’re already there. Putting new shingles over rotted decking or damaged underlayment just means you’ll have the same problem again in a year. But that’s your call, and we’ll make sure you have all the information you need to make it.
