You’re not looking for the cheapest patch job. You want your roof fixed correctly so you can stop checking the ceiling every time it rains.
That’s what proper roof repair does. It stops the leak, protects your insulation and framing from water damage, and gives you back the peace of mind you had before you noticed that stain spreading across your bedroom ceiling.
When your roof is solid, you’re not scrambling to move furniture when the forecast calls for rain. You’re not wondering if that drip will turn into a flood. You’re just living in your home the way you should be able to.
We’ve been handling roof repairs in Dracut and throughout Middlesex County since 2006. We’re an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we meet their standards for quality work and customer service.
We’re licensed with the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor board. We carry proper insurance. And we use materials from Mule Hide and Owens Corning because they hold up to the freeze-thaw cycles that destroy cheaper products.
Dracut homeowners deal with ice dams, heavy snow loads, and the kind of winter weather that finds every weak spot in a roof. We’ve seen what happens when repairs are done wrong, and we’ve fixed plenty of those situations for people who hired the wrong contractor the first time.
First, we come out and actually look at your roof. Not just the obvious problem spot, but the whole system. Leaks don’t always show up directly below where water’s getting in.
We’ll tell you what’s wrong, what needs to be fixed now, and what you should keep an eye on. If you’ve got damage that’ll get worse fast, we’ll tell you that too. No pressure, just information.
Once you decide to move forward, we handle the repair with the same materials and methods we’d use on our own homes. That means proper flashing, quality shingles that match your existing roof, and attention to the details that prevent callbacks.
The job gets done when it’s actually finished. Not when it looks finished from the ground.

Roof repair in Dracut means dealing with reality. Ice dams are a constant problem here. When temperatures swing above and below freezing, water backs up under your shingles and finds its way inside. Left alone, you’re looking at thousands in damage.
We handle storm damage repairs after high winds lift shingles or branches come down. We fix valleys where two roof planes meet, which is where leaks love to start. We replace damaged flashing around chimneys and vents.
The average roof repair in Massachusetts runs between $400 and $3,500 depending on what’s wrong. That’s a lot less than the $10,550 average for a full replacement. But here’s the thing: a repair only makes sense if it actually solves the problem. If your roof is 20-plus years old and failing in multiple spots, we’ll tell you that too.
If the damage is localized to one area and your roof is less than 15 years old, repair usually makes sense. You’re looking at things like a small leak around a vent, a few missing shingles after a storm, or damage from a fallen branch.
Full replacement becomes the better option when you’re dealing with multiple problem areas, when your roof is over 20 years old, or when the cost of repairs starts approaching 30-40% of replacement cost. Asphalt shingles typically last 20-25 years in Massachusetts, and once they start failing, problems multiply fast.
We’ll give you an honest assessment. If repair is the smart move, that’s what we’ll recommend. If you’re throwing good money after bad, we’ll tell you that too.
It depends on what caused the damage. Storm damage, fallen trees, and ice dam damage are typically covered. Normal wear and tear or damage from lack of maintenance usually isn’t.
Here’s something important: insurance covers the damage ice dams cause, but not the removal of the ice dam itself. And you’ll need to exceed your deductible before coverage kicks in.
If you’re filing a claim, document everything with photos before any work starts. Get the repair done quickly to prevent further damage, because insurance won’t cover new problems that develop because you waited. We can work with your insurance adjuster and provide the documentation they need.
Most repairs take one day or less. Simple fixes like replacing a few shingles or resealing flashing might only take a few hours. More involved repairs like fixing a valley or replacing a section of decking might take a full day.
Weather plays a role. We can’t do quality work in rain or when ice is present. We also won’t patch your roof in freezing temperatures because sealants won’t bond properly and shingles become brittle.
Emergency repairs to stop active leaking can often be done the same day you call, especially during winter when ice dams are causing problems. We’ll get a temporary fix in place to stop the damage, then come back when conditions allow for the permanent repair.
Ice dams form when heat escapes through your roof and melts snow. The water runs down to the cold eaves, refreezes, and creates a dam. More meltwater backs up behind it and seeps under your shingles.
The weight alone can damage gutters and fascia. The water intrusion causes stains, ruins insulation, promotes mold growth, and rots framing. We’ve seen ice dams cause thousands in damage when left unchecked.
Prevention involves proper attic insulation and ventilation so heat doesn’t escape through the roof. We install GAF systems designed specifically for freeze-thaw protection. Better ventilation keeps your roof temperature consistent, which stops the melt-refreeze cycle. It’s not just about fixing damage after it happens. It’s about making sure it doesn’t happen again next winter.
Small repairs like replacing a few shingles or resealing flashing typically run $400-$800. Medium repairs involving valley work, larger sections of shingles, or flashing replacement usually cost $1,000-$2,000. Extensive repairs with decking replacement or multiple problem areas can reach $2,500-$3,500.
Location matters too. A repair on a steep roof or third story costs more than the same work on a simple ranch. Access, pitch, and complexity all factor into pricing.
We give you a clear estimate before starting work. No surprises, no “we found additional problems” upcharges unless we genuinely discover hidden damage once we open things up. And if that happens, we stop and show you what we found before doing anything else.
Usually, yes. We work with major manufacturers like Owens Corning and Mule Hide who maintain consistent product lines. If your roof is relatively recent, we can typically get shingles that match your existing ones closely.
Older roofs present more challenges. Shingle lines get discontinued, colors change slightly over production runs, and weathering affects appearance. We’ll get as close as possible, and in most cases, the repair area blends in well enough that you won’t notice it from the ground.
If exact matching isn’t possible and the mismatch would be obvious, we’ll discuss options. Sometimes it makes sense to replace a full slope or section to maintain appearance. Other times, the repair area isn’t visible from the street and perfect matching doesn’t matter. We’ll show you what to expect before proceeding.
