You stop worrying about water stains spreading across your ceiling. You’re not scrambling to move furniture or set out buckets every time it rains.
Your home stays dry through nor’easters and February ice storms. The repair holds up because it was done with materials built for New England weather, not whatever was cheapest that week.
You’re not calling someone back in six months because the problem returned. The issue gets identified correctly, fixed completely, and backed by a contractor who’s been doing this work in Massachusetts for over 18 years. That’s what a proper roof repair should do.
We’ve worked on Hamilton roofs since 2006. We’re an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we meet strict standards for workmanship and customer service that most roofing companies don’t qualify for.
We’re fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts. We use Mule Hide and Owens Corning materials because they’re engineered for freeze-thaw cycles, ice damming, and coastal salt exposure—the exact conditions your roof faces here.
Hamilton’s housing stock averages back to 1958. These homes weren’t built with modern ventilation or ice dam prevention. We’ve repaired hundreds of them, so we know what fails first and how to fix it properly.
You call or message us with the problem. We schedule an inspection, usually within a day or two. If it’s an emergency—active leak, storm damage, ice dam flooding—we respond faster.
We inspect your roof and attic if needed. We’re looking for the actual source, not just the visible symptom. Water travels, so the leak inside rarely lines up with the damage outside. We find it, photograph it, and explain what needs fixing and why.
We give you a clear estimate. No vague “could be this, could be that” pricing. You know what the repair costs before we start.
We complete the work with materials rated for Massachusetts weather. We clean up completely. And if insurance is involved, we document everything you need for your claim. You get a roof that works, not a temporary patch.
Ready to get started?
We handle leak repairs from damaged or missing shingles, failed flashing around chimneys and vents, and storm damage from wind or fallen branches. We fix ice dam damage, which is common in Hamilton given the heavy snow loads and older home construction.
If your roof has localized damage but doesn’t need full replacement, we match existing materials and restore the integrity of that section. We also address issues like inadequate attic ventilation that cause premature shingle failure and ice buildup.
Hamilton homes face specific challenges. Coastal humidity accelerates rot in roof decking. Nor’easters dump heavy, wet snow that older roof structures weren’t designed to handle. Freeze-thaw cycles crack flashing and lift shingles.
We account for all of that. Every repair considers your roof’s age, the home’s ventilation setup, and how Hamilton’s weather will test the fix over the next decade. You’re not getting a generic patch job.
If the damage is localized to one area—a few missing shingles after a storm, a leak around a chimney, or a section damaged by a fallen branch—repair makes sense. You’re fixing the problem without replacing material that’s still functional.
Full replacement becomes necessary when you have widespread issues. That means shingles curling or losing granules across multiple roof planes, multiple leaks in different areas, or a roof that’s reached the end of its lifespan. Most asphalt shingle roofs last 20-25 years in Massachusetts, but Hamilton’s coastal exposure and heavy snow can shorten that.
During our inspection, we’ll tell you honestly which situation you’re in. If your roof has five good years left and you just need a repair, we’re not going to sell you a replacement. But if we’re patching a roof that’s going to fail in 18 months anyway, we’ll tell you that too so you can make an informed decision.
For active leaks or storm damage, we typically respond the same day or within 24 hours. We understand that water coming into your home isn’t something you can wait a week to address.
Emergency response means we’ll get someone out to assess the damage, stop the immediate water intrusion with temporary measures if needed, and schedule the permanent repair as quickly as possible. During busy storm seasons, that permanent fix might take a few days to schedule, but we’ll make sure your home is protected in the meantime.
If you’re calling about a leak that happens only during heavy rain or a problem you’ve noticed but isn’t actively causing damage, we’ll schedule a thorough inspection within a few days. Either way, you’re not getting put on a list and forgotten about. We return calls, we show up when we say we will, and we keep you informed throughout the process.
It depends on what caused the damage. Insurance typically covers sudden, unexpected events—storm damage from wind or hail, damage from fallen trees, or ice dam damage that occurs despite proper maintenance. They generally won’t cover damage from normal wear and tear, aging, or deferred maintenance.
If you have storm damage, document everything before any temporary repairs. Take photos of the damage from multiple angles. If it’s safe, photograph the interior damage too. Contact your insurance company to start a claim, then call us.
We’ll provide a detailed estimate that breaks down the damage and repair costs. We can work directly with your adjuster if needed and provide documentation they require. We’ve handled plenty of insurance repairs in Hamilton, so we know what information carriers need and how to document damage properly. Just understand that we work for you, not the insurance company, so our job is to repair your roof correctly—not to meet their budget if it’s insufficient.
Ice dams form when heat escaping through your roof melts snow. That water runs down to the colder eaves, refreezes, and creates a dam. More meltwater backs up behind it, and eventually that water finds its way under your shingles and into your home.
Hamilton gets hit hard with ice dams because of heavy snowfall combined with older homes that often lack adequate attic insulation and ventilation. Heat loss is the root cause, not just the snow itself.
Fixing ice dam damage means repairing the immediate harm—replacing damaged shingles, fixing rotted decking, repairing interior water damage. But we also address why it happened. That might mean improving attic ventilation, adding insulation, or installing ice and water shield membrane in vulnerable areas. If you keep getting ice dams every winter, there’s an underlying issue with heat loss that needs fixing, or you’ll be calling someone every spring to repair the same damage.
Most repairs take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the extent of damage and what needs fixing. A simple shingle replacement might take two to three hours. Repairing flashing around a chimney or replacing a section of damaged decking takes longer—often a full day.
Weather affects the timeline too. We can’t install shingles in freezing temperatures or during rain. If we’re scheduled for your repair and conditions aren’t right, we’ll reschedule rather than do substandard work. That’s not common during the main repair season from late spring through early fall, but it’s something to be aware of if you need work done in winter.
We’ll give you a time estimate upfront. If we run into additional damage once we open up the roof—rotted decking that wasn’t visible from below, for example—we’ll stop, show you the issue, explain what it’ll take to fix it properly, and get your approval before proceeding. You won’t get surprise bills for work you didn’t authorize.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and the materials we use come with manufacturer warranties. The specifics depend on what products we install—Owens Corning and Mule Hide both offer strong warranty coverage on their roofing materials.
What matters more than the warranty length is whether the company will still be around to honor it. We’ve been serving Massachusetts homeowners since 2006. We’re licensed, insured, and we’re not disappearing after we finish your job.
If something fails because of how we installed it, we’ll make it right. If a product fails within its warranty period, we’ll handle the claim process with the manufacturer. What we won’t do is warranty damage caused by other issues—like a tree falling on your roof or ice dam damage from inadequate attic ventilation that you declined to address. But for the work we do and the materials we install, you’re covered.
